PRACTISE AREA / TIMETABLE
A Practise area will be available some 2 minutes drive away from the
course. There will be a shuttle bus service to take players to and from this area prior to
their tee off times. Practise balls are players responsibility. The practise area is
300m in length and the hitting area will accommodate approximately 15 players at any one
time.
There is a practise green for putting at the front of the club house
and chipping and wedge practise area with green side bunker right of the club house.
Official Practise Days are Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 December. A timetable
of team tee off times will be available on arrival.
The course will be open to the public prior to the commencement of the
South Pacific Mini Games. Each country or territory will be responsible for their own
practise rounds prior to the official practise round - at their own expense. Green Fees
are $15.00 for nine holes and $20.00 for 18 holes. Push buggies are available at a cost of
$3 per day, or $10 for the full week. A maximum of two balls may be played on the course
at any one time. All players are requested to repair all pitch marks on the greens and to
carry sand buckets to fill divots.
5. CLUB HOUSE
The Club House has a seating capacity inside of 80, plus areas on deck
and in courtyard to accommodate a further 60 or so people.
Full bar and kitchen facilities are available. The Bar will be open
from 10:00am for sale of soft drinks, with alcohol sales from 11:00am onwards. Your
lunches will be available from our kitchen during the week of Golf. There will also be
food available for purchase from 11:00am onwards.
There are no locker/change room facility or shower facilities at the
course. Toilets are located in the courtyard area of the complex. There is no secure area
for leaving equipment all players must be responsible for their own equipment at
the end of each day.
We have a resident professional on the Course, Mr Alan Maisey. His pro
shop is situated in the courtyard area where he has for sale golf items and apparel.
FUNCTIONS
Monday 3 December
The Golf Club will be hosting a Welcome BBQ dinner
7:00pm at the Golf Club. All Golf team members and golf officials are invited to
attend.
Saturday 8 December
The presentation celebrations for the Golf segment of the South
Pacific Mini Games will take place at the Golf Club at the end of play on Saturday
followed by a fish fry dinner.
Sunday 9 December
Normal Club Competition Day All Welcome to Play
Wednesday 12 December
Norfolk Island Golf Club Competition all games competitors
are invited to participate in this day with a BBQ/Fish Fry dinner to follow at 6pm. (Green
Fees payable)
TEAM COMPETITION FORMULA
Men
One team of four (4) competitors (maximum) playing 72 holes (18 per
day) with the best three scores every day being taken into account. For the team score,
medals gold/silver/bronze.
Ladies
One team of four (4) competitors (maximum) playing 72 holes (18 per
day) with the best three scores every day being taken into account. For the team score,
medals gold/silver/bronze.
INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
The lowest score for the four (4) days (72 holes) will win the
individual competition for both men and women. Medals gold/silver/bronze
RULES
The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews Rules of Golf and local
rules will apply. Local rules are printed on the back of every score card.
